Description
iGrab™ Retrieval Tool Locking Actuator Handle
The iGrab™ Retrieval Tool Locking Actuator Handle helps operators retain foreign object debris by holding compatible manual retrieval tools in a closed position. Its detachable design supports foreign object search and retrieval (FOSAR) tasks, including power generation maintenance and service.
Compatibility restriction: This handle cannot be used with manual retrieval tools 10 m (33 ft) and longer.
Key Features
- Detachable retrieval tool handle
- Locking mechanism holds a compatible tool in the closed position
- Helps retain debris without continuous manual closing pressure
- Designed for use with FOSAR articulating videoscopes
- Supports foreign object search and retrieval and FOD removal operations
- Not compatible with manual retrieval tools 10 m (33 ft) and longer
Maintain Tool Closure During Retrieval
The locking mechanism fixes the tool in a closed position, helping maintain its grip on debris while freeing a hand for other tasks. The handle works with compatible iGrab™ Manual Retrieval Tools, subject to the length restriction above.
Explore the role of these tools in FOSAR and FOD removal operations.
Visually Guided Retrieval
Use the handle with compatible retrieval tools and iShot® Imaging VX FOSAR Working Channel Videoscopes for real-time visual guidance during removal. This combination supports tool positioning and debris handling in tight or difficult-to-access areas.
Detachable Handle Design
Detaching the handle allows a retrieval tool to be backed through a guide tube when its jaws are larger than the tube’s inner diameter. The locking mechanism helps retain captured debris during the operation.
