iShot® Model E Industrial Handheld Video Borescope Monitor
The iShot® Model E Handheld Video Borescope Monitor combines a portable design, a 1:1 image format, and direct image controls for demanding remote visual inspection (RVI). Compatible with articulating, non-articulating, and rotating iShot® Model E probes, it provides a flexible inspection platform for examining internal components and identifying defects.

Industrial Inspection Applications
The Model E supports remote visual inspection of turbine blade castings, engine blocks, pumps, and metal tubing. Adjustable imaging controls help operators examine defects, scratches, seam lines, dust, and foreign object debris (FOD).
1:1 Imaging for Natural Viewing
The Model E displays and saves images in the native 1:1 aspect ratio of its CMOS imaging sensor. Its 4" x 4" display preserves that square image format rather than stretching it into a 4:3 or 16:9 frame, avoiding the corner distortion associated with that conversion. This format helps operators view inspection features in their original proportions.
Adjustable Image Enhancement
Quick-access buttons allow operators to tune exposure, sharpness, and brightness during an inspection. Negative, color, monochrome, and grid effects provide additional viewing options for examining small features and surface details.
Depth of Field for Close Inspection
The Model E platform offers a depth-of-field range of 1 to 50 mm, with near focus as close as 1 mm. Depth of field depends on the probe configuration; the 2.8 mm Dual Illumination High Resolution probe described below provides a 2 to 50 mm range.
Direct Controls and Quick Probe Changes
Dedicated buttons control image brightness, sharpness, exposure, picture effects, zoom, and rotation without opening a menu screen. Operators can adjust the live image while keeping their attention on the inspection.
The probe-changing and startup sequence takes 10 seconds to release the probe from the monitor, 10 seconds to install a new probe, and 10 seconds to power on and display a live image.
Interchangeable Probe Options
The Model E platform supports probe diameters from 1.2 to 6 mm and lengths from 1.0 to 10 meters. Direction-of-view options include direct, side, and simultaneous direct and side viewing (dual). Each probe uses resilient tungsten-braid sheathing and is compatible with the iShot® Model E Handheld Video Borescope Monitor.
2.8 mm Dual Illumination High Resolution Probe
The iShot® Model E 2.8 mm Dual Illumination High Resolution borescope probe provides 720 x 720 pixel resolution, 15,000 Lux white-light illumination, and 35 mW ultraviolet illumination. This probe supports small-diameter inspections and magnetic particle inspection (MPI) operations.
Its 0° direction of view supports locating defects inside parts as the probe advances. With 4-way articulation and a 2 to 50 mm depth of field, operators can direct the viewing tip to examine internal inspection areas.
